Refugee & Immigrant Center (RIC)
Because of the increasing number of refugees and immigrants coming into the United States, including into the Atlanta, Georgia area, the CCCAP proposes a Refugee & Immigrant Center (RIC) for this year's Student Design Competition.
The RIC will help new immigrants integrate into American culture and society. The center will provide a welcoming place for new refugees and immigrants and will provide some essential services for individuals and families. The RIC will empower immigrants and refugees to thrive in their new communities and pursue a just future.

This event is the first of its kind of gathering of architectural educators at universities and community colleges. Partnering with the CCCAP, it will be two days of discussion focused on actionable goals to improve the community college transfer policies for architectural students.
Attendance is by invitation only but recordings of the event will be shared following the event.
This event will be our first return to in-person meeting since 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada!
Located in downtown Philadelphia, there are museums and galleries, schools of architecture, and sightseeing venues galore!
Our focus will be on a few presentations by fellow CCAP faculty, celebration of the SDC 2023 winners, breakdown into Task Forces to address and take action about our important issues, and good gathering together.
